Conferences

As part of our Support and Advocacy work, OutWest hold an annual conference which focusses on a specific set of LGBT issues. Our previous conferences have focussed on Hate Crime, LGBT Refugees and Asylum Seekers, Disabilities and Younger and Older LGBT People, to name a few.

Our conferences give our partner organisations, stakeholders and local statutory bodies the chance to engage with the LGBT community in a more collaborative way.

Through our conferences, OutWest have been made aware of shortfalls in service provision to other, more vulnerable and hard to reach members of the LGBT Community and the conferences assist us in being able to identify and challenge these shortfalls.
